Dental Insurance/ Treatment Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance / Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in insurance processing, treatment planning, and patient communication.

This role offers a great opportunity to support patients through their dental care treatment while ensuring smooth administrative workflows. The coordinator will serve as a vital link between patients, insurance providers, and the clinical team, fostering a positive and efficient environment for all involved.

Duties:

Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to accurately determine coverage details and out-of-pocket costs for patients.
Explain treatment plans, financial options, and insurance benefits clearly to patients to facilitate informed decision-making.
Submit insurance claims promptly and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Assist patients in understanding their dental insurance policies and answer questions related to coverage and billing procedures.
Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, insurance information, and treatment plans by documentation.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure treatment plans align with insurance requirements and patient needs.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns related to billing, insurance, or treatment options efficiently.

Requirements:

Proven experience working in a dental office environment with a focus on insurance coordination or administrative support.
Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, terminology, and claim submission processes.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and treatments.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
Effective communication skills for explaining complex insurance information clearly to patients.
Prior experience with dental office management software ( SoftDent ) or electronic health records is preferred.
